Questions

1. What is frequency?

Like light, radio frequency radiates in waves. The waves oscillate in a certain pattern (like spinning or moving up and down, to put it visually).

Frequency is the measure of cycles per second. 1 Hertz or Hz = 1 cycle per second.

Following the metric measurements, Kilo = x1,000, Mega = x1,000,000 and so forth.

Thus, 144 MHz means 144 million cycles per second.
